Project: Cadet Karting has been running since September 2009. It gives young people the opportunity to experience advanced karting tuition and racing from professional instructions. They learn driving, mechanical and relational skills all aimed at building their self confidence and life skills, to make them more employable and better members of the Reading community. Of course, it helps that it is also a lot of fun.

Project: Football has two arms. Firstly is the highly successful St Laurence Football team in which adults and young people meet and mix. The young people learn what it is to be a man through their attitudes and competative spirit. Secondly is the Girls football group. This group meets on friday nights and is aimed at improving the skills and abilities of Girls in sport.

Project: Cooking

Saint Laurence regularly runs courses aimed at improving the skills of young people. They learn culinary skills from the very basic, to the highly advanced!

We have facilities for teaching up to 4 young people at once and have run courses for teenage parents and young boys to date.

Project: SRE

A discussion group for year 9 & 10 girls to talk about sex and relationships. Topics covered included friendships, self esteem, boyfriends & girlfriends, Sex, STI's and pregnancy.
