Missions:

Malawi Mission Trip: took place in the summer of 2005 with a team of 13 adults and young people from St Laurence going to Chicwawa in rural Africa in partnership with Hope for Africa. The aim of the trip was to help the local people build a church building as they had met under canvas for some time. Not only did the team move 60,000 bricks they also dug 100 metres of foundations for the church to stand strong for years to come. This trip was the first of many to come for the people of St Laurence Church.

Bulgaria Mission Trip: aimed to visit two orphanages in desperate parts of Bulgaria. One being a state orphanage that lacked serious amounts of funding and an orphanage that looked after children with severe learning and physical disibilities. Both of which opened the eyes for the team of 16 adults and young people to just how desperate parts of the world are, even parts of europe that are not that far from home. The trip was undertaken in partnership with Reach Out Bulgaria and we continue to financially support this project year on year.

Uganda Mission Trip: saw a team of 14 young people and adults from St Laurence travel 10,000 miles to Uganda to undetake a water irrigation system project. The team dug foundations for the water tank, 400 metres of trench for the pipes and make secure the tap where 400 hundred children ad adults collected water daily. The Transform trip took place in the summer 2009 in partnership with Tearfund and has seen many fruits among the young people, both for those that went and those who didn't.
